Installing
e/Forms on Microsoft Windows Vista The
permissions need to be changed on a few folders.
Give full permissions to e/Forms installation folder.
1. Go to Start
2. Select Computer
3. Navigate to the Program Files folder. C:\Program Files.
4. Highlight the folder name.
Normally that location would be C:\Program Files\ScanTech eForms Online
or C:\Program Files\ScanTech FreeForms Online.
If you have a customized version of e/Forms highlight that folder.
5. Right click once the folder has been selected
6. Select Properties
7. Click on the Security tab
8. Click on the Edit button
9. Under group and user names give all users Full Control
Permissions
also need to be changed on a folder within the installation path of Adobe
Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
For Acrobat 8.1
or greater Follow the same procedure on the Javascripts
subfolder.
Follow steps 1 and 2 from above.
Note:
The paths being shown are the default installation paths. If you
installed to a different folder navigate to the appropriate location.
If you are using Acrobat Reader navigate to either of these folders
depending on version, and select it.
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\Javascripts
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\Javascripts
For
Acrobat Standard or Professional it is either one of these folders to navigate to and
select.
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe 8.0\Acrobat\Javascripts
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe 9.0\Acrobat\Javascripts
Follow the steps 5 - 9 for the applicable folder.
